Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that his government is at the height of its battle against "terrorism" in the Gaza Strip.
"It involves an exchange of blows and it will not end with a single stroke," he said, adding that Israel's demand is clear: a complete cease-fire, and no less.
Netanyahu claimed that the Israeli army had destroyed hundreds of Hamas military targets in Gaza.

He said he would not reveal the army's ready-made operational plans, stressing that the aim was to restore calm to the cover of Gaza.

He stressed that Israel needed more law than ever before. "We need it in order to ensure the future of the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, we passed this law and we will preserve this law," he added.
