At least 30 Palestinians were martyred and 150 others injured on Sunday as a result of Israeli occupation forces opening live fire in the Mawasi area of Rafah, southern Gaza.
Local sources reported that the Israeli forces directly targeted civilians with live ammunition from their military vehicles and drones, as the people were heading to receive humanitarian aid at a distribution point in the Mawasi area. The aid distribution centers turned into sites for mass killing, leading to at least 30 martyrs and 150 injured.
The sources also mentioned that the number of martyrs at aid distribution sites has now risen to 39, with more than 220 injured in less than a week.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the eastern areas of Khan Younis, and local sources confirmed that the airstrikes also targeted the northwest of Khan Younis.
In another development, Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar, the husband of Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, was martyred after succumbing to injuries from an Israeli strike that targeted their home south of Khan Younis, joining their nine children who had previously been martyred in the same attack.
Israeli artillery also shelled the vicinity of Jabal Al-Surani east of Al-Tufah neighborhood in Gaza City. Additionally, three Palestinians were injured on Saturday evening as a result of a drone strike targeting a house in Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli airstrikes also targeted the home of the "Rahim" family in the western part of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza on Saturday evening.
Moreover, local sources confirmed the martyrdom of Dr. Aya Madhat Al-Madhoun, along with her husband and unborn child, due to an Israeli airstrike while she was providing medical care to displaced people in Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has been committing mass atrocities in the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 178,000 martyrs and injured, the majority of whom are women and children. In addition, more than 11,000 are missing, and hundreds of thousands of displaced people are left without shelter or food.
