The number of visitors to the Eiffel Tower has decreased due to the Coronavirus pandemic

The Eiffel Tower receives much fewer visitors than the usual number due to the Corona virus crisis.

Jean-Francois Martins, president of the SET operator, told RTL on Saturday that since the study began last September, there had been only 10-20 percent of the usual number of visitors.

Martinez said that there is an advantage for visitors who are currently visiting the tower from anywhere in France that they do not have to wait.

It is noteworthy that the tower, which is more than 130 years old and not far from the Seine, is visited by up to 7 million people annually.

After a forced suspension of work for more than three months due to the Corona virus, the Parisian teacher, whose height is 324 meters, reopened its doors at the end of last June.

Tourism in the French capital, Paris, and other attractions such as the Louvre museum or the picturesque district of Montmartre is suffering greatly due to restrictions imposed to limit the spread of the epidemic.

The Eiffel Tower or "Iron Lady", as the tower is known in France, was built for the Paris World Exposition and was completed in 1889.

It is mentioned that health rules must be adhered to when visiting the tower.
