The occupation continues to deprive female Jerusalemites from visiting

The Israeli occupation prisons administration continues to deprive Jerusalemite female prisoners of family visits for the third month in a row, and their last visit was last September.

Head of the Prisoners’ Families Committee in Jerusalem, Amjad Abu Asab, told Wafa: “For about two months, the occupation authorities have deprived 12 female Jerusalemites in Damon Prison from visiting, under the pretext of carrying out maintenance and repair work in the prison.”

The suffering of Palestinian female prisoners is not limited to the denial of visits, but the occupation authorities continue to violate them and detract from their rights, to impose more restrictions and psychological and physical abuse against them.

It is noteworthy that 12 female Jerusalemites are languishing in Damoun Prison out of 34 Palestinian female prisoners. The occupation prison authorities have continued to prevent them from visiting for more than two months.
