The lawyer for prisoners and editors affairs, Karim pressed dates, reported that the health of the wounded prisoner Saleh Barghouti, 52, from the town of Kober, north-west of Ramallah, stabilized after an operation at Belenson hospital inside the Green Line during which his left leg was amputated from the bottom.
Pressed dates said in a press statement after ending his visit to the wounded prisoner on Saturday evening, that the captive underwent surgery on the first day, after being shot alive by the occupation soldiers during the storming of his hometown Cooper, where he was arrested and left bleeding for a long time, what affected his health and complicated it.
"He was transferred to Hadassah Hospital immediately after his arrest, and then he was taken to Belenson Hospital, where he was subjected to amputation, still in hospital until the moment, suffering from diabetes prior to arrest, and the soldiers who arrested him were informed."
The prisoners and Editors ´ Affairs authority charged the occupying government with full responsibility for the life of the wounded captive Barghouti, noting that the amputation of his leg was the result of neglecting his condition and leaving him bleeding for a long time, asking the International Red Cross to visit him immediately and pressuring the occupation authorities to release him.
