Members of the Knesset accuse Netanyahu of failing

Members of the recently dissolved Israeli Knesset, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have been accused of political and security failure, both on the northern front with Syria and Lebanon, or on the southern border with the Gaza Strip.

Ofer Shelah, a Knesset member from a party there, said the situation in Gaza was a terrible failure for Netanyahu and his policies, and he also insulted Israel by transferring Qatari funds to Hamas through portfolios.

"Shelah, a member of the Committee on Security and Foreign Affairs of the Knesset, Hamas is a terrorist organization, it is decided when and how to want confrontation," calling for the need to address the policies of Netanyahu, which brought Israel to this situation.

For his part, Nahman Shai of the Labor Party, the security situation is deteriorating because of the poor management of the conflict over the past years by the Netanyahu government.

Netanyahu´s disclosure of the ambiguity surrounding the attacks in Syria was a grave mistake, he said.

For his part, Minister Yoav Galant said that Israel and Russia have a common interest in getting Iran out of Syria.

He added that Russia relied on Iran and Hezbollah in the implementation of its strategy to defeat the Syrian opposition forces.

"Iran and Russia are rivals in controlling Syrian airports and extending their political influence."

Galant referred to the transfer of Qatari funds to the Gaza Strip, pointing out that it is in Israel´s security interest that the humanitarian conditions of the Gazans are good.
