The majestic funeral procession began after his family took the last farewell look from his house in the Khedive neighborhood in the center of Jericho, to the old city mosque, where the funeral prayer was held on his body, which was dazzled by the Palestinian flag, with the participation of official and popular activities.
The body of the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Saeb Erekat, was buried in an official ceremony with the participation of the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, members of the Executive Committees of the PLO, the central Fatah movement, the government, Palestinian figures from 1948, and members of his family At the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
The funeral procession of the late Erekat stopped in front of the PLO headquarters, where his office is in the city of Ramallah, and his body was thrown a final farewell look.
