The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that it had carried out 865 airstrikes on targets in the Gaza Strip during the year 2018.
The army said in an annual report that it destroyed 15 tunnels, including one naval tunnel, on the Gaza Strip border during the year 2018.
He added that 1,000 rockets were fired from Gaza into Israeli settlements, of which 250 were intercepted, while 45 landed in residential areas.
He noted that 16 Israelis had been killed and 199 injured as a result of attacks by Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during 2018. Seven of the dead were reportedly from the Israeli security forces and nine (settlers). Last year (2017), 20 Israelis were killed and 169 injured in attacks by Palestinians. In 2016, 17 Israelis were killed and 263 injured.
The official Israeli broadcasting organization said the army carried out 180 airstrikes against Iranian targets and Hezbollah in Syria during 2018.
