UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday sent his "sincere condolences" to the family of the Abu-Malous al-Swarka family in Gaza City, where eight of its members were killed in the Israeli aggression.
"The Secretary-General expresses his sincere condolences to the Swarka family and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured and calls on Israel to move swiftly to conduct investigations," said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for Guterres.
"We oppose all killings of civilians," Haq told a regular news conference, adding that "in the case of the Swarka family, it is clearly a tragedy."
According to media reports, Israel aimed to eliminate a jihadist leader but bombed the family home while its members were asleep at dawn on Thursday.
The Israeli Health Ministry said that the Israeli aggression ended on Thursday morning, killing 34 Palestinians and wounding more than 100 others.
