The start of the new school year in the Gaza Strip after a break of about 5 months

The new school year began in the Gaza Strip today, Saturday, after a break that lasted about five months as part of measures to combat the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The educational process in public schools and those run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) was resumed early a month, with the aim of students benefiting from catch-up materials at the rate of four classes per day.

The Ministry of Education, run by "Hamas" and UNRWA announced taking extensive precautionary measures and providing all necessary materials to sterilize and disinfect schools to provide a safe and healthy environment for all students.

The competent authorities had suspended schools in the Gaza Strip last March due to fears of an outbreak of the Corona virus, knowing that the sector subjected about 75 cases of infection with the virus, all of them returnees, to quarantine and most of them recovered.
