The occupation pulls out and steals 60 olive trees north of Jerusalem

Israeli occupying forces on Tuesday uprooted and confiscated some 60 olive trees from the village of Jambaa, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem, Palestinian local sources said.

A village council chief, Musallam Dar Salim, said that crews from the civil administration of the Israeli occupation authorities were accompanied by bulldozers and army forces who stormed land belonging to Palestinian citizens in the village, near the "Jbaa " Military checkpoint.

He added that the mechanisms had begun to sabotage, destroy and bulldoze the land, as well as to uproot 60 olive trees aged between three and four years before the occupation crews loaded and confiscated the trees.

The civil administration claimed that there were decisions by the occupation courts to raze those lands and demolish the walls and chains surrounding them.

He explained that the bulldozing and demolition of about four sites, some of which are planted with trees and others whose owners are still working to repair them, before the withdrawal of the occupation crews from the place.
