The martyrdom of Sami Abu Diak inside an Israeli hospital

Prisoner Sami Abu Diak was killed at the Assaf Harofeh hospital on Tuesday morning for treatment after being transferred to the Israeli prison, the Israeli Prison Service said.

The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners and Editors confirmed the death of Abu Diak (36 years) resident of Silat al-Dhahr in Jenin, and has been detained since September 2002.

The martyr is sentenced to life imprisonment three times, and another 30 years, allegedly responsible for a series of shooting attacks and causing the killing of a number of settlers.

For more than two years, the martyr Abu Diak is suffering from a critical condition caused by cancer. There have been attempts by the International Committee of the Red Cross for days to release him, but the occupation refused.

In 2015, Abu Diak underwent surgery at the Israeli Soroka hospital in which he removed more than 80 cm of his intestines, resulting in intestinal cancer, kidney failure and lung failure.
