The Palestinian Prisoners Studies Center announced that it has monitored (1500) cases of detention of Palestinians from all segments and groups since the beginning of this year, including 35 women and 240 children.

The media spokesman for the research center, Riyad Al-Ashqar, said that the arrests became a daily phenomenon that the occupation uses as a tool of oppression and collective punishment to fight the Palestinian people. It is severe that arrests continue in these special circumstances, in which the governments of the world are going to release prisoners, including the occupation, which has released hundreds of Jewish prisoners in a clear racist policy where he refused to release Palestinian prisoners, and continues to arrest more.

Al-Ashqar stated that all detainees were subjected to one or more forms of physical or psychological torture, moral abuse and degrading humiliation, especially children, which constitutes a serious violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and some of them were subjected to intentional and close fire. Before being arrested without posing a threat to the occupation.

And Al-Ashqar indicated that more than a third of the arrests took place in the city of Jerusalem and exceeded 600 cases of arrest, whereby the occupation is targeting Jerusalemites continuously, especially in the last two months on the pretext of carrying out meetings and health activities under Corona, and providing assistance to the residents as a result of the conditions that are arranged on stone in homes.

Al-Ashqar indicated that the occupation targets the arrest of all components of the Palestinian people, including women and children. The number of arrests between minors since the beginning of the year reached 240, the youngest of whom is the child "Majid Ali Abu Saada", 7 years old, from Jayyus, east of Qalqilya.
