The Palestinian Authority´s foreign minister on Monday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of escalating violence in the Gaza Strip and Arab countries for election purposes.
The Israeli escalation in more than one place from the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq comes within the framework of the election campaign by Netanyahu ahead of parliamentary elections in Israel next month.
He added that Netanyahu is looking for opportunities for military escalation in order to show the Israeli voter that he is the protector of the State of "Israel" and that the protection of the Jewish citizen has no limits.
He noted that the escalation is part of Netanyahu´s campaign to boost his chances of staying in power or he will find himself behind bars in Israeli jails, which means it is a matter of life and death.
Maliki warned of the resort to the escalation of the occupation in the coming days on several fronts, including the Gaza Strip, until the election date.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli warplanes raided last night, on a site belonging to the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to material damage but no injuries.
The army said the raid was in response to the firing of three rocket-propelled grenades from Gaza at residential communities adjacent to the Strip, two of which were intercepted by the iron dome, while the third landed in an open area near Sderot.
The Israeli army announced the first on Saturday that its fighter jets raided a number of targets in the village of Aqraba southeast of Damascus against Quds Force operatives and Shiite militias planned operations against targets "Israeli" from Syrian territory.
