The Central Committee of the Likud party on Thursday approved its support for Benjamin Netanyahu as the sole candidate to head the party and the next government.
The proposal made by the chairman of the committee, Haim Katz, was approved, stating that Likud would be a party to any future government only under Netanyahu´s presidency, either for a full term or alternately.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, of the 3,700 members of the Central Committee, only 300 were present
