For the third day in a row, the Egyptian authorities continue to open the Rafah land crossing for the movement of travelers in both directions.
According to the statistics of the Gaza Crossings Authority, 1254 passengers have traveled through the crossing during the past two days, between departures and travelers, while 66 citizens have been returned and prevented from traveling for reasons not specified by the Egyptian authorities.
According to the statistics, 392 citizens were able to travel on Wednesday, while 299 returned to the Gaza Strip, and 36 were returned.
And news reports mentioned that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi ordered the permanent opening of the crossing in light of developments in the internal Palestinian political situation following the factional consensus to hold the elections.
