RAMALLAH _ Palestine News Network

The Israeli occupation authorities on Thursday advised that construction in 17 Palestinian (residential and agricultural) facilities in the Northern Jordan Valley (east of occupied Jerusalem) had been halted, arguing that they lacked Israeli licences.

The occupation was notified of the suspension of work in more than 17 agricultural and residential establishments in the area of "Awad " and "Al-Khar", according to the settler resistance activist, Aref Daraghmeh.

In an interview with Al-Quds Press, Daraghmeh explained that the notices extended to residential and other uses to house sheep.

The Palestinian activist called on human rights and humanitarian institutions to support Palestinian residents of the northern Jordan Valley who are at risk of homelessness in the winter.

In a related context, the occupying forces erected tents and military exercises on the territory of the village of Ajnisnia, north-west of Nablus, this morning, noting that further training was being conducted in residential buildings under construction in the area.
