Israeli military prosecutor Sharon Ovik said on Monday that he would work to grant full immunity to Israeli soldiers.
According to the Yediot Aharonot website, Oveik defended Israeli soldiers who kill Palestinians.
"We will fully support the immunity of soldiers and will not be held accountable," he said at a conference in Eilat.
Recently, there has been controversy in Israeli circles over the trial of some soldiers who executed Palestinians for no reason, amid claims for full protection and immunity.
