Hundreds of settlers storm religious and historical shrines south of Nablus

At dawn On Friday, hundreds of Jewish settlers stormed historic and archaeological shrines in the village of Orta, southeast of nablus (north of occupied Jerusalem), performing a Talmudic ritual, under heavy guard by israeli occupation forces.

According to Palestinian local sources, Israeli buses transported hundreds of Jewish settlers to the western area of the village of Awarta, accompanied by dozens of military vehicles.

In the same vein, the Hebrew news site (0404) said that "about 350 Jewish settlers stormed the shrine of Eliezer Ben Haroun, west of the Palestinian village of Orta, where they performed religious rituals, under the guard of the army and border guards."

Local residents in the village of Awarta said: The israeli occupation forces closed the entrances to the village, imposed a siege on it and spread its roads, in preparation for the entry of settlers who arrived on foot and carried out acts of and provocation in the streets of the village.

The village of Awarta has 12 historical and religious shrines, which are confirmed by the people, and a number of them are claimed by the settlers, including the "Azir" shrine, which the settlers have been visiting, by protecting the occupying forces, conducting their rituals and attempting to jewishize it.

The government´s decision to extend the right to a fair and fair court is a very important one.

Specialists attribute the reasons for the targeting of historical religious shrines by settlers to settlement purposes with an ideological, political and religious cover, claiming that these places belonged to them 2,000 years ago, in preparation for the expulsion of Palestinian citizens.
