The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, the recovery of two new cases of people infected with the Coronavir virus.
Ashraf al-Qudra, a spokesman for the ministry, said in a press statement to him that the number of recovery cases reached 16, and 4 cases are still under treatment in the isolation hospital, and their condition is reassuring.
He pointed out that the central laboratory conducted a laboratory examination of 106 samples during the past 24 hours, all of which are negative results, without recording any new infections.
Al-Qudra mentioned that the number of hosts in the quarantine centers reached 1574, including 1168 who returned from Egypt during the days of the Rafah Crossing opening exceptionally, indicating that all of them will be subject to quarantine for 21 days.
He pointed out that taking samples for the hosts takes place twice at the beginning of their presence in the quarantine centers and before they leave them to check on their safety according to the approved protocol and the necessary measures are taken in the event of any injury.
He said, "The measures taken at the crossings and the quarantine centers managed to protect the Gaza Strip, but the spread of the epidemic around us keeps us in danger."
He added, "Every citizen should feel his role in keeping the Gaza Strip free from the Corona virus by not being indifferent and abiding by preventive measures and staying at home while avoiding crowds, wearing masks, achieving divergence, and clearing hands when out of necessity."
He asked the concerned authorities to support the emergency needs of the Ministry of Health, including medicines, medical consumables, laboratory supplies, laboratory examination materials, intensive care beds, and respirators to counter the Corona pandemic.
