In the Gaza Strip, a special campaign was launched by retired military figures and researchers to search for the missing persons of Palestine in 1967, in order to highlight them and open their files again to find out their whereabouts and reunite with their families again.
The campaign was named "Missing Palestine 67", in the presence of a number of national figures, military retirees and researchers in human rights institutions and others.
Retired Colonel Akram Joudeh, deputy director of the Association of Military Retirees and General Coordinator of the campaign, said that this file is a result of the Palestinian issue of the brutality of the occupation and forced displacement, contrary to international laws.
"The deliberate concealment of information about a missing person violates international human rights law and their family has the right to know the fate of their missing children, in accordance with legal obligations," he said in a statement.
He pointed out that the campaign aims to shed light on the missing in 67, and open their file again, the need to search for them, and to know their whereabouts and know their families the fate of the lives of their children, for their national concern for this file. He pointed out that several committees have been formed to communicate with the families of the missing to find out their names and ways of their loss.
He pointed out that coordination was started with the Red Cross and human rights organizations to demand the need to help them. Calling on all Palestinians to participate in order to help end the suffering of the families of the missing.
