Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett met on Wednesday with UN envoy for the Middle East peace process Nikolai Miladinov at his office in Jerusalem.
According to a statement by Bennett´s office, the meeting focused on the security situation, especially in the Gaza Strip, as well as the northern front, and the decision to prevent the transfer of the bodies of Palestinian martyrs to their families.
Bennett assured Meladinov that Israel would not accept the Iranian presence in Syria and would continue to act firmly against it.
On Gaza, several issues related to the protection of Israeli security interests were discussed. Bennett´s decision to prevent the return of the bodies of martyrs and the possible consequences of the decision were also discussed.
