Following a decision by the Israeli security cabinet to escalate the response to any violent incidents from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army on Thursday began to mobilize tanks, artillery, infantry and engineering vehicles near the Gaza Strip, according to the newspaper "Yediot Aharonot ".
Israeli officials recently threatened to launch a military offensive against the Gaza Strip against the backdrop of protests from the March 30 March, and the firing of balloons and incendiary paper planes into Israel.
In response, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, sent a letter of warning to Israel about its threats to launch a new attack on the Gaza Strip.
As part of the lull between Hamas and Israel, a delegation of senior Egyptian intelligence officials arrived in the Gaza Strip on Thursday to meet with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
