Israeli Internal Security Minister Gilad Ardan on Tuesday threatened to continue the repression by force against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails .
In a statement after the events in Ofer prison and the prisoner strike, Ardan said the activity of the prison Service against the smuggling of mobile phones and other prohibited means will continue in all prisons and will escalate.
He stressed that the administration of the Prison Service would deal with all threats by the captives and with any scenario. "As we did in the previous strike that ended without any achievement of the prisoners, we will do this strike without fear and without surrender," he added.
"There is no threat or pressure from these terrorists in prisons that will make me retract my recent decisions to change prison conditions," he said.
"The prison Service will continue to work in full force to suppress riots and restore order in prisons," he said.

هدد جلعاد أردان وزير الأمن الداخلي الإسرائيلي، اليوم الثلاثاء، بمواصلة القمع بالقوة ضد الأسرى الÙلسطينيين ÙÙŠ السجون الإسرائيلية.
وقال أردان ÙÙŠ بيان له بعد الأØداث ÙÙŠ سجن عوÙر وإضراب الأسرى، إن نشاط مصلØØ© السجون ضد تهريب الهوات٠النقالة وغيرها من الوسائل المØظورة سيستمر ÙÙŠ كاÙØ© السجون وسيتصاعد.
وشدد على أن إدارة مصلØØ© السجون ستتعامل مع كل التهديدات من قبل الأسرى ومع أي سيناريو. مضيÙًا "مثلما Ùعلنا ÙÙŠ الإضراب السابق الذي انتهى دون تØقيق أي إنجاز للأسرى، سنÙعل ÙÙŠ هذا الإضراب بدون خو٠وبدون استسلام".
وأضا٠"لا يوجد أي تهديد أو ضغط من أولئك الإرهابيين ÙÙŠ السجون سيجعلني أتراجع عن قراراتي الأخيرة لتغيير أوضاع السجون".
وتابع "ستواصل مصلØØ© السجون العمل بكامل قوتها لقمع أعمال الشغب، واستعادة النظام ÙÙŠ السجون".
