Ardan: Plans to occupy Gaza are ready but we prefer quiet

Israeli Internal Security Minister Gilad Ardan said on Monday that plans to occupy the Gaza Strip are ready for the mini-ministerial Council.

In an interview with Israeli Army Radio, Ardan said they preferred to calm down and reach an agreement that would guarantee the security of Israelis. He noted that the reoccupation of Gaza would give Israel the chance to remain calm but should be prepared to pay for such a move.

Ardan warned Hamas leadership not to go beyond the red lines, threatening to return to the assassination policy if they crossed those lines.

The movement blamed the firing of rockets from Gaza as the sector´s responsibility.

The Hebrew "pen was" channel quoted Palestinian sources as saying that Hamas had conveyed a message through Egypt to Israel, warning it of the continued shelling of the resistance observatories, and that it would work to withdraw its troops from the length of the border if that continued.
