A senior official in the Israeli occupation army warned of the escalation of the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as Israel did not move to ease the tension, according to him.
This morning, Saturday, the Arabic-language Israeli public broadcaster quoted an Israeli official as saying that what he described as “humanitarian steps” taken by Israel to strengthen the Palestinian Authority are not enough.
He pointed out that since the end of Operation Fences Keeper (the last aggression on Gaza), more than 40 Palestinians have been killed throughout the West Bank, and that the Military Police has opened more than 20 investigations into these incidents.
