A US jury on Wednesday indicted actress Amber Heard for defaming ex-husband Johnny Depp by describing herself as a victim of domestic violence, after a highly publicized trial that delved deeply into the privacy of the two Hollywood figures.
And the seven jurors answered in the affirmative in their ruling, which was followed in court, to the question of whether the headline and two excerpts from a 2018 Washington Post article by Heard contained defamatory content against Johnny Depp.
The commission´s decision required Heard to pay the actor $15 million in compensation.
