A settler opened fire on a street vendor north of Nablus on Sunday, causing no injuries.
Ghassan Daghlas, a settlement official in the northern West Bank, said that a settler got out of his vehicle near the entrance to the empty settlement of Homesh, near the towns of Barqa and Bazaria, north of Nablus, and opened fire at vegetable vendors.
He added that the residents rushed to help the sellers as the settler fled. An Israeli army force later arrived and set up a roadblock on the road between Nablus and Jenin.
Daghlas pointed out that this incident is a serious development in the escalation of settler attacks against citizens, and poses a threat to vendors who used to be daily in that area to make a living.
