JERUSALEM _ Palestine News Network
Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the Al-aqsa mosque on Wednesday morning, protecting Israeli police officers.
According to our correspondent quoting a source in the Islamic Waqf department, the Israeli occupation police allowed the settlers to break into the Al-aqsa mosque and roam in their courtyards, for four hours from the "bab al-mughrabi" and even the "bab al-muliba".
It added that 101 settlers broke into the Al-aqsa mosque from the "bab al-mughrabi", which is under the full control of the Israeli police, including students of Jewish religious institutes, during the first period of intrusion, where they performed their prayers and rituals in the eastern region, and protected the occupation police and troops Armed Forces.
The settler population will rise for the day because the Israeli police allow settlers a second round of raids, in the afternoon and for one Hour.
The Islamic Waqf department rejects these incursions, as the key to the "bab al-mughrabi" (through which incursions take Place) is by the Israeli police and is the only control since the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967.
Settlers have repeatedly stormed the AL-AQSA mosque, causing confrontations and escalation.
The keys to the "bab al-mughrabi" have been taken over by the Israeli police since the occupation of the city of Jerusalem in 1967, and since then they have controlled the visits (foreign tourists and settler intruders).
