The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees, "UNRWA", in the Gaza Strip, announced that it has started preparing some of its schools to receive patients from respiratory patients.

Adnan Abu Hasna, UNRWA´s media adviser, said in a radio interview, that the name of the school closest to the UNRWA clinic will be announced to citizens, to receive these previously identified cases by region.

And that UNRWA will work to separate the auditors who come to receive medical care such as vaccination and pregnant women and those who suffer from chronic diseases, and those who suffer from respiratory diseases, such as cough, cold, difficulty breathing or heat.

He pointed out that the decision was taken according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, in order to preserve the health of refugees and their families, and to prevent the emergence of any cases of coronavirus infection in the Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that UNRWA is currently working to equip those schools with the necessary medical equipment, and with specialized trained staff, pointing out that all preventive and safety measures will be taken.

He stressed that these schools will not be used as quarantine centers, and that all schools will be sterilized before resuming studies to ensure that they are free of any pathogens, in order to preserve the health of students.
