The spokesman for the center, the researcher, "Riyad Al-Ashqar", said in a press statement today, Monday, that despite the seriousness of the disease and its rapid spread and fear of reaching the prisons, he has not yet implemented the safety and prevention measures required to prevent the disease from reaching the prisons because this will lead to a real catastrophe as it is closed and crowded places. It does not meet the minimum health conditions.
"The occupation is required to take several measures, including stopping the movement of prisoners through the middle ground to and from the courts and other prisons, and separating the criminal prisoners from the security personnel, as the chances of the disease spreading among them are greater, and providing adequate and prompt cleaning materials to all prisons, as well as spraying and sterilization," Ashkar said. Al-Ashqar warned that the occupation prisons are a fertile ground for the spread of diseases and epidemics, due to the lack of adequate health and life conditions, as there are not enough spaces, or adequate ventilation, and there is severe overcrowding in rooms and sections, and humidity is spreading everywhere, and there is a lack of heating methods , And other inferior ingredients of life.
And "Al-Ashqar" held the occupation authorities and its prison administration fully responsible for the lives of the prisoners, and the repercussions of any danger they face as a result of neglecting their safety and health, and delaying taking appropriate safety measures because the Corona disease did not reach the prisoners.
