The Israeli authorities have approved the construction of 2,342 new housing units in Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, an NGO said.
According to Peace Now, the High Planning Commission of the Civil Administration approved the construction of these units at a meeting on October 10, the details of which are not yet clear. "Netanyahu continues to sabotage the possibility of reaching a political agreement with the Palestinians by encouraging more settlement construction in the West Bank," it said.
