22 prisoners are still detained since before the signing of the Oslo Accords

The Prisoners' Club said, "22 prisoners have remained detained since before the signing of the Oslo Accords, the oldest of whom is the prisoner Muhammad al-Tus, who has been detained since 1985."


The Prisoner's Club stated, in a press statement issued today, Wednesday, that 11 prisoners who were detained before Oslo and released as part of a prisoner exchange deal were re-arrested by the occupation in 2014.


He added that the occupation authorities continue to detain the bodies of 11 martyrs of the captive movement, namely: Anis Dawla in 1980, Aziz Owaisat since 2018, Fares Baroud, Nassar Taqatqa, and Bassam Al-Sayeh, all three of whom were martyred during the year 2019, and Saadi Al-Gharabli and Kamal Abu Waar during the year 2020. The prisoner Sami Al-Amour, who was martyred in 2021, and the prisoner Daoud Al-Zubaidi, who was martyred in 2022, in addition to the prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, who was martyred in December 2022, and the martyr Khader Adnan, who was martyred on May 2, 2023.


The following is a list of the names of the former prisoners: Muhammad Al-Tous, Ibrahim Abu Mukh, Walid Daqqa, Ibrahim Bayadsa, Ahmed Abu Jaber, Samir Abu Nimah, Muhammad Daoud, Jumaa Adam, Mahmoud Abu Kharbeesh, Raed Al-Saadi, Ibrahim Agbaria, Muhammad Agbaria, Yahya Agbaria, Muhammad Jabareen, Diyaa Al-Faluji, Muhammad Falana, Nasser Abu Sorour, Mahmoud Abu Sorour, Mahmoud Issa, Muhammad Shamasneh, Abdel-Jawad Shamasneh, and Alaa Al-Din Al-Karaki.


The prisoners who were re-arrested in 2014 are: Nael Al-Barghouti, Alaa Al-Bazian, Samer Al-Mahroum, Nasser Abd Rabbo, Jamal Abu Saleh, Nidal Zaloum, Majdi Al-Ajouli, Abdel Moneim Tohme, Ayed Khalil, Adnan Maragha, and Taha Al-Shakhshir.


It is noteworthy that more than (5,200) prisoners are languishing in Israeli occupation prisons, including (36) female prisoners, (170) children, and (1,264) administrative detainees, and the number of prisoners serving life sentences is (559) prisoners.
