The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO" has approved funding for 7 projects for the benefit of the State of Palestine for the year 2021, as part of the contribution programs that the organization provides to the member states.
The Palestinian National Committee for Education, Culture and Science stated, in a statement today, Tuesday, that some of these projects will be implemented in coordination with the National Committee and the relevant ministries, in addition to a number of projects directed towards civil society institutions, and a project to be implemented for the benefit of the National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, and a project For the benefit of the Palestinian clubs affiliated with "UNESCO".
The Secretary-General of the National Committee said that working under the umbrella of "UNESCO" provides a valuable opportunity for the State of Palestine to present programs and projects that are compatible with the priorities and orientations of the organization and national priorities, and that obtaining funding for 7 projects is the highest limit that the organization can finance for member states. Rather, it indicates the level of professional work, partnership and coordination to prepare program and project files that were carried out by the National Committee staff in cooperation with partner and related national institutions, whether governmental or non-governmental.
The projects target the sectors of media education, safety of journalists, vocational training, gender, issues of culture and women, the environment, communication technology, the digitization of procedures and electronic archiving.
