The occupation uproots 400 olive seedlings, west of Bethlehem

Today, Monday, the Israeli occupation forces uprooted hundreds of olive seedlings in the lands of Wadi Fukin village, west of Bethlehem (south of the West Bank).

According to local sources, the occupation forces uprooted about 400 olive seedlings in the “Shaab Bahour” area, west of the village of Wadi Fukin, owned by Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Haroub .

The sources pointed out that during the past two weeks, settlers uprooted about 800 olive trees and vineyards in the lands of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem .

The Fukin Valley is a Palestinian village in the West Bank, located approximately 10 km west of Bethlehem. Its lands were looted and an area of 8,300 dunums was confiscated during the years of the 1967 war and beyond.

And 700 dunums were confiscated in favor of the settlement "Betar Illit", which was established on the lands that mediate the four villages: Husan, Nahhalin, Al-Jab´a, and Wadi Fukin, west of Bethlehem .

And 80% of the lands of the Fukin Valley are within the occupied "Green Line", and their owners are prevented from accessing them, and the village is considered one of the villages of the "armistice line" as it was previously known.

The village of Wadi Fukin is surrounded by more than 5 Israeli settlements, including: Beitar Illit, Mofi Beitar, Tire Hadassah and Hadar Beitar .
