JERUSALEM _ Palestine News Network
The Israeli occupation authorities have issued a decision barring the Palestinian Health ministry from the beginning of the year 2019 from the introduction of Toumat for children, Ministry of Health Undersecretary Asaad Ramlawi said.
"Preventing the entry of these grafts into the Palestinian territories will lead to a real problem if this issue is not resolved," Ramlawi told the official "Voice of Palestine" Radio on Tuesday, noting that there are contacts with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the "UNICEF" in particular.
Ramlawi said that the ministry had been surprised for more than two months by the Israeli Ports Authority by adopting new laws to prevent the introduction of special vaccinations for children and, according to UNICEF, the Israeli Government relied on laws that had existed since 1986.
Ramlawi denounced the decision, saying that grafts had changed 32 years ago, and there Toumat changed during this period, noting that since the inauguration of the PNA since 1994, it has not been problematic in this dossier.
Ramlawi stated that the Ministry had tried in various ways and means, and continued with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children´s Fund (UNICEF) to rescind this decision, which he described as unjust, noting that the embassies of the state of Palestine in both Geneva and the United Nations were in contact with many countries to put pressure on Israel In order to introduce grafts to Palestine.
The undersecretary of the Ministry of Health pointed out that when the Palestinian child is not vaccinated there is a spread of diseases not only in Palestine, but in the whole region because the lack of access to some causes bacterial infection, hoping that the Israeli Ministry of Health will pressure its government to repeal this decision.
He added that the occupation authorities want these grafts to come from only ten countries, but these countries produce toumat alone and are not interested in selling them, and therefore did not get a certificate from the World Health Organization, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health cannot get any taste from any country does not get a certificate of health Hundred.
In addition, Ramlawi pointed to the coverage of grafts in Palestine for more than 18 years to 100%, where diseases that are being fully vaccinated by the World Health Organization (WHO) were averted, as a national achievement for Palestine to be fought by Israel.
