The Ministry of Information condemns the occupation’s detention of 7 journalists south of Hebron

The Ministry of Information condemned the detention of 7 journalists by the Israeli occupation forces, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, during their coverage of the weekly peaceful sit-in on the lands of Umm al-Shaqhan, which are threatened to be seized.

And the ministry considered, in a statement, today, Friday, what happened as a continuation of the approach of the Israeli occupation aggression and arrogance.

She stressed that the detention of media professionals Raed Al Sharif, Jamil Salhab, Mashhour Wawah, Sari Jaradat, Abdel Mohsen Shalalda, Khalil Dhoib and Ihab Al Alami, and the assault on Al Sharif and Wawah, calls for urgent action and intervention at the level of the UN Security Council, to implement its resolution 2222 on protecting journalists. and ensuring that their aggressors do not go unpunished.

She called on the International Federation of Journalists, and the frameworks that watched their defense, to pursue the Israeli occupation and its black record of aggression and targeting of our journalists.

The Ministry saluted the knights of word and image who ably convey the story of freedom to our people, despite the high prices they pay with their lives, well-being and freedom.
