The Egyptian Public Prosecution reveals details about the fire at the Security Directorate in Ismailia

An official statement by the Egyptian Attorney General revealed the details of the fire incident in the Ismailia Security Directorate building, which occurred Monday morning.


The statement said that the Public Prosecution received, at 4:30 a.m. today, Monday, a notification of a fire in the Ismailia Security Directorate building, and immediately the First Public Prosecutor of the Ismailia Appeals Prosecution and a team from his prosecution and the Ismailia College Prosecution moved to the scene of the incident - on Muhammad Ali Street in the First Department of Ismailia to inspect it.


The statement stated that the inspection resulted in the entire building of the Security Directorate being charred, and flames rising from its upper floors, adding that firefighters and civil protection, supported by aircraft of the armed forces, continued in a diligent effort to control and extinguish the fire, in addition to evacuating the injured via ambulances located in the store. The incident.


The prosecution added that a team of investigators was formed to investigate the incident and thirty-three injured people were questioned, twenty-nine of them at the Ismailia Medical Complex, and the other four at the Suez Canal Authority Hospital, stressing that it is still continuing investigations.


For its part, the Ministry of Health announced that it had raised the state of readiness in Ismailia Governorate hospitals to receive any injured people as a result of the accident.


Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the ambulances provided their services to 12 injured people and left the accident site, while 26 cases were transferred to the Ismailia Medical Complex, including 24 cases of suffocation and two cases of burns, noting that 7 injured people were discharged after receiving the service and their health condition improved.
