Israel raided the Gaza Strip for the first time in weeks on Thursday, a day before the resumption of the protest marches to demand the lifting of the blockade.
Palestinian sources said that Israeli warplanes raided an early hour on agricultural land in the south of the Gaza Strip, causing material damage without injuries.
Meanwhile, Israel has imposed a naval cordon on the Gaza Strip this morning, preventing fisherman from fully working until further notice.
Israel justified the move by responding to the "continuing firing of incendiary balloons" from the Gaza Strip into its territory, leading to the burning of agricultural fields.
The fire balloons are being launched as part of the return marches, which are scheduled to continue their weekly demonstrations on Friday near the separation fence with Israel.
The higher authority for return marches in Gaza called for the widest popular participation in the demonstrations of Tomorrow under the slogan (not to annex the West Bank).
Protests were canceled last Friday because they coincided with the third day of the happy Eid al-Fitr.
The last round of tension triggered early last month andasted three days, leaving 30 Palestinians dead and four Israelis killed.
