Bethlehem _ Palestine News Network

Jewish settlers burnt down some 200 fruitful olive trees in the village of Minya, south of Bethlehem, belonging to residents of Sa´ir town, east of Hebron (south of occupied Jerusalem).

The head of the village council of Minya, Zayed Kawazbeh, confirmed that settlers burned 10 dunums of farmland in the village.

He noted that the land belonged to citizens of the developer´s family, which lived in Sa´ir, where more than 200 olive trees had been burnt.

During these days, settlers are stepping up their attacks against olive trees, with the start of the QITAF season next month, where they cut off a number of trees near Yatta, south of Hebron, days earlier.
