Palestine´s second International mobile phone application Competition

Palestine won the second world in a mobile phone application competition known as Techniculture, which is teaching girls from the age of 10-18, to develop mechanisms for developing intelligent applications to solve problems facing their communities, the Ministry of Education and Higher education announced on Friday.

The competition took place this year in the US state of San Francisco and was attended by the Palestinian team under the name "T-double Yoo-Z", with 18 teams representing 14 countries, including India, Russia, America, China and Egypt, having reached the final qualifiers of the competition.

The number of teams participating in the world-wide initial liquidations has surpassed hundreds; girls have been involved in the design and production of various applications to contribute to solving different problems facing the world through the use of mobile phone applications.

Palestine was represented in this event by four female students from the Kamal Jumblat School in Nablus, the Directorate of Education and Higher education: Zubaida al-Sadr, Halawa, Kamara Aouaysah, Mr. Al-Dove, under the supervision of al-Shak´a, and Arafat, who helped produce a specialized fire-fighting application.
