Nicaragua decides to open an embassy in Palestine

"The Republic of Nicaragua has decided to open an embassy in the State of Palestine," Foreign Minister Ryad al-Maliki said.

Al-Maliki said in a press statement on Wednesday that Nicaragua appointed Mazen Khuffash as its resident ambassador, a Nicaraguan citizen of Palestinian origin from Nablus.

He pointed out that Khuffash is currently in Ramallah, and is working with him in order to facilitate his mission, expressing his hope that other embassies will be opened in Palestine.
