"The Israeli authorities told them to reduce the fishing area from 15 miles to 10 miles, starting from Wednesday morning," said Zakaria Bakr, head of the Gaza Fishermen´s Committee. In early April, the Israeli government decided to increase the fishing area in the Gaza Strip to 15 nautical miles and then reduced it by the end of the same month and re-expanded it in the Egyptian-brokenened truce with Hamas.
