Israeli Occupation Reduces Fishing Area in Gaza Sea

The Israeli occupation authorities have reduced the fishing area on the shores of the Gaza Strip from 15 to 10 miles, starting from Wednesday, about two months after their expansion to 15 miles.

According to the Hebrew media that the area of fishing allowed to the fishermen of Gaza from 15 miles to 10 miles only, starting from the morning on the pretext of continuing to fire balloons from the Gaza Strip.

"The Israeli authorities told them to reduce the fishing area from 15 miles to 10 miles, starting from Wednesday morning," said Zakaria Bakr, head of the Gaza Fishermen´s Committee.

In early April, the Israeli government decided to increase the fishing area in the Gaza Strip to 15 nautical miles and then reduced it by the end of the same month and re-expanded it in the Egyptian-brokenened truce with Hamas.
