Director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, said today, Thursday, that the Strip is on the verge of a new wave of the Corona virus, and therefore the hospital’s readiness has been raised to the fullest extent to receive this wave.
In an interview with the local Al-Aqsa radio station in Gaza, Abu Salmiya called on citizens to adhere to safety and prevention measures.
He pointed out that there is a noticeable increase in the number of infections with the Corona virus and cases admitted to hospitals, and they frequent the respiratory departments.
"We have taken the necessary measures, and anyone will be prevented from entering the hospital walls and internal departments without wearing a mask and social distancing," he said.
He called on citizens to speed up vaccination so that they do not suffer from severe symptoms and pose a threat to their lives, especially the elderly and those with chronic diseases and weak immunity.
