The advisor to the Minister of Health in the Gaza Strip, Fathi Abu Warda, said that the rate of infection with the "Corona" virus in the Strip ranges from 30% to 45% of the samples withdrawn, stressing the seriousness of the health situation in the Strip, especially the high number Critical and serious deaths and injuries.
Abu Warda said, in an interview with Voice of Palestine Radio today, Sunday evening, that the number of critical and serious injuries in the Gaza Strip has reached 238, including 62 on artificial respirators out of 350 infected with the virus who are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
He pointed out that the capacity of Gaza´s hospitals is 500 beds and 170 intensive care units, of which 60 are currently occupied.
Abu Warda said that a number of deaths that were recorded during the past week did not have chronic diseases, including two doctors, a third-year medical student, and a 34-year-old woman.
