Dozens of settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday with the protection of Israeli military forces.
A reporter for the "Quds Press" said that 47 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque from Bab al-Mughrabi in the morning raids, escorted by members of the Israeli police.
Nine Israeli intelligence and police officers stormed the mosque during the same period, amid a presence of armed special forces that secure Jewish incursions on a daily basis, she said.
The number of settlers is expected to rise during the day, as the Israeli occupation police allow them to enter a second round of raids beginning after Zuhr prayers.
The incursions are daily except Friday and Saturday, during the morning and evening periods, and for a total of five hours.
Some 2,000 and 400 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the month of August last August.
