5 martyrs, about 324 arrests, and the demolition of 69 facilities during the past month in Jerusalem

In its monthly report on the crimes of the Israeli occupation in the governorate, the Jerusalem governorate recorded the death of 5 citizens, during last January.


The governorate confirmed in the report issued by its Public Relations and Media Unit, today, Wednesday, that included the occupation crimes that were monitored in the neighborhoods and towns of Jerusalem, during the month of January, that it documented about (324) cases of arrest and the demolition of (69) facilities, as well as the storming of (4408) settlers of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.


Martyrs
The governorate documented in its report the martyrdom of 5 citizens, including two children, and the martyrs are: Samir Awni Harbi Aslan (41 years old), the boy Muhammad Ali Muhammad Ali (17 years old), Youssef Abdul Karim Muhaisen (22 years old) old), Khairy Musa Alqam (21 years old), and the boy Wadih Aziz Abu Ramouz (16 years old).


The occupation authorities seized the bodies of the martyrs (Muhammad Ali, Khairy Alqam, and Wadih Abu Ramoz), bringing the number of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies are held in the occupation refrigerators and "numbers´ graves" to 25 martyrs.

During January, the Jerusalem governorate monitored 17 injuries, as a result of live and rubber-coated metal bullets and severe beatings by the occupation forces, in addition to dozens of cases of tear gas suffocation. About (324) cases of arrest of citizens, including about (60) children and (7) women, were documented.


Challenges and violations
 In Al-Aqsa Mosque The Jerusalem governorate said that it monitored (4408) extremist settlers storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of January, and (65591) under the name of tourism to the courtyards of the blessed Al- Aqsa Mosque, with the strict protection of the heavily armed Israeli occupation forces.


Settler attacks
The governor confirmed that settlers carried out 22 attacks on Jerusalemites, during the past month, including physical abuse. 


Inciting calls organized by settler groups for storming the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque have also increased. Extremist Temple groups have demanded the opening of a synagogue inside Al-Aqsa and allowing the full performance of Talmudic rituals and the introduction of tools and offerings into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.


Demolition and dredging operations
The Israeli occupation forces demolished and bulldozed (69) establishments in occupied Jerusalem governorate, during the month of January, of which (10) were self-demolished, and (10) excavation and leveling operations were carried out. Occupation vehicles and crews demolished (49) establishments, which included: 26 shops 25 of them are in Hizma, in addition to 11 houses in: Silwan, Beit Hanina, Beit Safafa, Shuafat Camp, Jabal Al Mukaber, 5 walls and retaining walls in Anata, Jabal Al Mukaber, and the town of Silwan, and two barracks in the towns of As-Sawahra and Silwan, an agricultural barracks in Al-Isawiya, and a barracks for sheep in Jabal Al Mukaber, a stone chain and a container in Anata, and a parking lot under construction in the town of Jabal Al Mukaber.


Demolition decisions, forced evictions and seizures
The Jerusalem Governorate monitored the Israeli occupation authorities´ delivery of demolition notices for several homes in several towns in the occupied Jerusalem Governorate. In January, the occupation authorities delivered about (74) demolition notices for commercial facilities and homes.


Decisions of the Occupation Courts
Jerusalem Governorate said that the Israeli occupation courts issued (35) actual prison sentences against Jerusalemite prisoners, including (13) administrative detention sentences, in addition to imposing heavy financial fines, during the past month.


She added that (27) house arrest decisions were monitored, including (11) children, and the duration of the decisions ranged from two to 45 days.


The occupation authorities also issued about 22 deportation decisions from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City against Jerusalemites, in an attempt to control Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surrounding places, and also handed 7 citizens travel bans.


Violations against prisoners The Jerusalem governorate said in its report that the Israeli occupation prison administration continues to abuse and assault prisoners on an ongoing basis, as the occupation Supreme Court rejected an appeal made to it to release the Jerusalemite prisoner Ahmed Manasra.


It also issued a decision to increase the sentence against 7 prisoners from the town of Al-Isawiya in Jerusalem, who are: Qassem Derbas, Ismail Muhaisen, Khaled Muhaisen, Muhammad Mustafa, Abdullah Abu Riyala, Ahmed Abu Asab, and Muhammad Al-Razem .


Violations against Jerusalemite institutions
The Jerusalem Governorate stated that the Israeli occupation continues to suppress and close down Jerusalemite institutions and suppress activities that prove the presence of Al-Maqdisi in the occupied city, as it stormed Al-Makassed Hospital, and raided the headquarters of the Arbaeen Diwaniya in the town of Al-Issawiya, under the pretext of holding a meeting of the Student Parents Union in occupied Jerusalem schools, and that the meeting is funded by the national authority.


The headquarters of the Foundation for the Revival of Islamic Heritage and Research - Bayt al-Maqdis "Mithaq" in the town of Abu Dis, was also targeted with gas bombs, which shattered the windows.


The occupation authorities have stopped financial funding for the Ibrahimiyya School in occupied Jerusalem since the beginning of this year, under the pretext of preventing the ministry´s inspection crews from entering the school. They also assaulted a Jerusalemite delegation in the occupied town of Ara after visiting the liberated prisoner Maher Yunis, and arrested a number of them.


The occupation soldiers assaulted the paramedics in the Shuafat refugee camp in occupied Jerusalem, and a number of soldiers stormed the ambulance that transported the martyr Muhammad Ali and assaulted the paramedics.


settlement projects
Last January, the Jerusalem Governorate documented the approval of the occupation authorities of (3) settlement projects, one of them in the Al-Musrara neighborhood, east of the occupied city of Jerusalem, where the occupation municipality recently started excavation work, which affected the commercial movement in the historic neighborhood. The Planning Committee also approved And construction" in the occupation municipality on a new track plan for the light rail linking east and west Jerusalem, and this track will cause the seizure and demolition of more homes of Jerusalemites.


Targeting holy figures
The occupation authorities continue their violations against the symbols of Jerusalem, headed by the Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, as they stormed his house in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and handed him a decision to renew his ban from entering the West Bank, and confirmed the decision to prevent him from entering the West Bank.


It is noteworthy that the occupation court issued a decision on the fourth of August last year, imposing an open house arrest on Governor Ghaith, without specifying a time period for the decision.


The occupation authorities also handed the secretary of the Fatah movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Motor, a military order to prevent him from entering the West Bank for a period of two months, from the fourteenth of this month until the fourteenth of next March, under the pretext of "participating in the activities and activities of the Palestinian National Authority."


The occupation forces stormed the house of the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Ikrima Sabri, in the Al-Sawwana neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem, and handed him a summons for investigation.


The occupation forces also stormed the house of the head of the Jerusalemite Commission for Combating Judaization, Nasser Al-Hadmi, and handed him a decision to renew his travel ban, noting that he is under house arrest in his place of residence in Al-Sawana neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
