Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, who was killed Wednesday while covering an Israeli incursion into homes in the West Bank, occupies the forefront of media attention.
From architecture major, Shireen Nasri Abu Aqleh moved to the world of media, where she found herself as a reporter reporting the suffering of the Palestinians, telling the stories of prisoners, and the diaries of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The journalistic work took about three decades of her life, until she breathed her last, in the last field coverage, in which she pushed her life, to turn the last page of her long career path.

Sherine Abu Aqleh was born in East Jerusalem in 1971, and she left Jenin camp at the age of 51, in a news that shocked the Palestinians of all sects.
The Palestinians knew Abu Aqila in particular during her coverage of the news of the second Palestinian intifada, as she was traveling from East Jerusalem to all the cities of the West Bank.
Journalists who have dealt with her say that she is distinguished by her high morals and respect for all.

Shireen Abu Aqleh is from a Christian family in Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, but she was born and raised in East Jerusalem.
She studied at the Rosary Sisters School in East Jerusalem before joining the University of Science and Technology in Jordan to study architecture.
But Abu Aqleh saw herself as closer to the field of media than decoration and design, and she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Yarmouk University in Jordan.
After graduating, she returned to Palestine and worked at several sites such as the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees "UNRWA", Voice of Palestine Radio, Amman Satellite Channel, then the Miftah Foundation, and Monte Carlo Radio, and later moved to work for an Arab channel.
