Israeli occupation forces killed 16 children in the first half of 2019 in the Gaza Strip alone, according to statistics released by the Mezan Center for Human Rights on Tuesday.
The statistics show that the occupation hit 1233 children, the vast majority of them during their participation in the march of return and breaking the siege along the borders of the Gaza Strip.
In the same period, IOF arrested 17 children, most of whom were later released.
The report also recorded 17 cases of attacks on Palestinian schools and health centers in the Gaza Strip.
PCHR pointed out that the occupation continued its systematic violations of the rights of Palestinians, especially children, in violation of the conventions on the rights of children signed by the occupation. Pointing to increased targeting and killing of children during the first half of 2019 compared to the same period last year.
