Settlers attack the olive pickers south of Bethlehem

A group of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, attacked on Saturday the olive harvesters and foreign solidarity activists in the village of Jaba'a south of Bethlehem.

According to the council's chairman, Dhiab Masha'leh, dozens of settlers attacked the olive pickers in the Wadi al-Khgar and al-Hila area near Beit Ayin settlement, threw stones at them and attacked houses and property, causing material damage.

He added that the Israeli occupation forces are holding a bus carrying foreign solidarity activists.

The village of Al-Jaba'a is subjected to repeated attacks by settlers, especially in the current olive season.
